Capped level 50. Build at end of video.

This is the buffed version of the guy outside. Most difficult fight Ive had so far. Main reason is the hall is narrow and his moves are tailored to corner you in. Also, he hits HARD. So I had to make sure I put on some buff armor and amulets to survive most one hits. I try to avoid doing things that expose me to those hits.

Watch your spacing. Maintain a decent distance so its easier to time his moves since there are many variations to throw you off. Also very important tip is to make sure you arent stuck on the short side of the hall. Circle around aggressively towards the long side or dodge into him so you are no longer back up against the wall. This is even more important during the second phase.

Dont spaz dodge. Often times its better to take the first hit of a lighting fast counter and dodge the last hit. This way you can time the majority of his counters properly. Otherwise it sets you up to get hit by his jump counters or delayed roundhouse swings.

Usually I use max damage weapons like Grafted or heavy colossal greatsword but went back to my tried and true favorite Zweihander, which has the best combination of reach + power + weight advantage. The latter allows you to wear buff armor + use less stamina to swing so that means you can dodge out and around more and counter without worrying about getting stuck. It does about 10% less damage, but DPS (damage per second) wise its better because you arent resting as much and can speed things along.

After learning to time his moves I realized fight was taking too long because he doesnt always initiate and started to look for ways to beat him faster by looking for more counters. The longer you are in a fight, the greater the chance of getting one shot/losing.

After this fight got some additional upgrades stones and amulets that wouldve made the fight easier. So you can always put this fight off until after you do Leyndell.
