Russian journalist explains on-air TV protest over Ukraine war

Russian TV journalist Marina Ovsyannikova, who interrupted a live Russian news broadcast holding an anti-war sign, said her interrogators could not believe her decision to protest war in Ukraine was her own decision.

Speaking to the BBC's Caroline Davies, Ms Ovsyannikova explained that she needed to break free from being a "cog in the Russian propaganda machine," and urged other Russians to resist "Kremlin propaganda."
