This is Stanley’s first book and he is a renowned scholar on the subject of downed airmen in Yugoslavia during World War II, and has been a consultant to the National Museum of Contemporary History in Ljubljana, Slovakia. He is a regular contributor to Fox News and other newspapers and magazine outlets. He has held key positions within the state government of New York, as well as being an aide to then-Gov. George Pataki during the state’s response to the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
