Cory retired from teaching after 23 years. We talked about her experience on how schools have lowered their academic standards and expectation of their students so much that grades are meaningless. As a 8th grade teacher, before she retired, she saw so many of her students were not prepared in language and math. Just a sad reminder, last year (2021), only 28% of Indiana's elementary and middle school students were proficient in both math and language.
