Canadian doctors offer innovative assistance to Ukraine's medical efforts

It's difficult to confirm the true number of people injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine. But the need for frontline trauma care is dire and goes well beyond what many doctors are accustomed to.

Now with more medical aid required throughout Ukraine, Canadians are stepping up to help. A team of doctors from McGill University are already producing videos to aid their Ukrainian counterparts.

Using mannequins, they go through trauma procedures step by step – chest tube insertions, cricothyroidotomies and other urgent medical acts before they're translated into Ukrainian.
