Even though this is a beekeeping channel I like to keep it light and have fun so from time-to-time I will release something a little special. I figured since it was fall I would go back to the 1980's horror films and recreate one of my favorite characters from Friday the 13th. Jason Voorhees. This was a fun video to make where I got to actually explore my camera gear a bit more and also my editing. From using green screens to input LUTs, to Day to Night and grainy filters, I really feel like I learned a lot. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video and pass it around. I hope you enjoyed this flash back to 1980's horror and campy cut rm' up movies. No bees (or humans) were harmed during the making of this video. :-)
Premise:
One month ago an old summer camp from the 1980's reopened on the other side of the lake. Ever since that happened there have been a lot of strange things happening. Partying camp counselors, bonfires , loud music, etc.. Now I can't go outside without feeling like someone is watching me. It's just getting plain creepy around here. It doesn't stop at creepy, Jason Voorhees pays me a visit while I am working the hives and just when it feels like I'm a goner fate steps in to offer a helping hand. It almost seems like Friday the 13th.

I am a person who believes you are never to old to learn something. Be it beekeeping, farming, raising chickens, painting, filming and editing video, making wine, beer, bread, cheese, and other fermentation consumables, play guitar etc... If I see something I want to try I start it immediately. If there is one thing I could choose to pass along to my children this would be it. Never be afraid to try. My wife famously told me once that if you are not willing to be bad at something, you will never be good at it. That means I am bad at quite a few things.
