'I hopped on a flight': U.S. volunteer in Poland

When former U.S. military member Ryan Chocholek watched the news of the war in Ukraine at home in Illinois, he decided he couldn’t just sit and observe from afar. The 26-year-old Emergency Medical Technician felt compelled to "hop on a plane" to Poland and travel thousands of miles across the globe to provide medical care to civilians fleeing the Russian invasion.
