Best of the Rest: Lew's Pro SP Skippin' Reel

The 2020 ICast New Product Showcase "Best of Category" winners were announced in mid-July, and can be seen on fishing media outlets nationwide. But, what about those products that didn't win? Here is our "Best of the Rest" series where we will be highlighting 12 new products that didn't garner awards, but would nonetheless be great assets to your fishing arsenal.

Product Showcase #2: Team Lew's Pro SP Reel

Skipping a jig has become one of the most
productive fish-catching methods in the sport of bass fishing. Along with its potential for producing giant bites, however, is the potential for tremendous backlashes if the lure strikes a dock post or a wave that arises. To solve that problem, Lew’s created a specialized spool that holds 40 yards of 20-pound line with a recessed Knot Slot, as well as a skipping setting on the external brakes. The result is a reel tuned to greatly minimize backlashes.
