Airplane covid dystopia: woman refuses to don facediaper - another tale of non-compliance

Credit Instagram's @realtruthreport with this absolute corker, taken from the TikTok feed of @uk0169. Here, a nameless young woman risks eviction from her flight because of her refusal to wear a facediaper. The three minute long (!!) sequence sees her and a masked male flight attendant go through the motions. Notable too are the passengers that surround her, as one and all they complain about her non-compliance with, as the cabin crew gravely intones, "Federal mandates". The use of this particular phraseology marks this as an American event.

We are left to wonder whether the camera operator was an innocent bystander who happened to have his or her camera at the ready. One might say that the woman might better have ripped off her facediaper in mid-flight - that way she probably would have been able to reach her destination. Her refusal seems absolute and unwavering, so we are left on tenterhooks as to the final result and disposition. Likely the woman now faces an expensive day in court if she refuses to pay any fine.

We are of two minds on this tactic. The airline was already paid when she embarked. What was her end goal? Was she aiming to garner the sympathy of her fellow passengers? The theatrics of the recent State of the Union seem to invalidate the mask mandates, but who are we to judge. In the end, we conclude that she has money to burn.

The pain of the exercise seems to fall squarely on the civilly disobedient woman, which seems somehow unfair and ill thought through. Perhaps it is time to look again at Chris Sky's idea of plugging up the choke points at airports - they seem vulnerable to coordinated convoy action by truckers.
