Here you can start off with two nice jump attacks to decimate his poise.

I needed to pull off a perfect in order to win. If I get hit its over. Very few opportunities for a jump attack which does the most poise damage- watch for shield attack and when he throws a projectile straight out. Other opportunities give too short a window of time.

When he does shield bash make sure to roll out and wait a split second to see if its the one with secondary splash damage. Otherwise roll into him aggressively to stay within range of your roll dodge counter.

I used the Stamina medallion I recently found + clawsman talisman. The stamina medallion helps me do better DPS so that I dont have to back off and manage my stamina as much. Clawsman talisman increases jump attack damage, my bread and butter.
