William Maz was born in Bucharest, Romania, the primary setting of his debut novel, “The Bucharest Dossier.” He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He also studied writing at Harvard, The New School, and The Writer’s Studio in New York City.
