Russia has escalated its war in Ukraine with air strikes on a major military base close to the Polish border. The Russian attack killed at least 35 people and injured 134 more, according to the governor of the Lviv region. The Lviv governor said Russian forces fired more than 30 cruise missiles at the International Centre for Peacekeeping and Security. Meanwhile, US officials said Russia will face a response from NATO if its attacks in Ukraine cross borders and hit members of the security alliance. Polish President Andrzej Duda has said the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine by Russia would be a game changer.
