Russian Tank Out of Fuel, soldiers don't know where they're going!

There some reports early on in the conflict that Russian soldiers were pretending that their tanks were out of fuel and then deserting them after finding out they were on their way to Kiev. It may or may not have been true but it seemed like early on many soldiers on the Russian side had no idea what was about to go down.
