Ukraine War: Ukraine's former president says Putin wants to destroy the West

Petro Poroshenko told Sky News that Russia's President Putin wanted to "destroy the whole West, including the UK and US."

Speaking from the country's capital Kyiv, he said the military there needed ammunition, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, and he pleaded for jet fighters including MiG-29s which Ukrainian people could pilot.

He said they were fighting for freedom - and for the West.
