DIY Portable Tankless Water Heater Install for Van Conversion

Steve's Tips:
1. Mount the heater so that there is plenty of room for heat escape on the top of the unit! NOT close to combustibles.
2. For a Van install you’ll need: a 1/2” “T-joint”, 1/2 inch plastic tubing, “shark bite” connectors, pipe clamps, lever water shut off, wire caps, water tank ( I suggest a rectangle 15 gallons), electric shut off switch, wire caps, cold water fixture, 12V battery for pump, propane (only) 20lb tank, a plastic water fill and vent plate, and patience.
3. Tools: Utility knife, Phillips screw driver, (maybe a rotary tool for trimming), and a cordless drill.
4. Shower OUTSIDE of the van. Make a suction cut shower head mount you can place and remove after use.
5. A grey water tank is NOT necessary if you are not dumping pollutants from your sink. Simply drain under your van.
