The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory
forever and ever. Amen.

This video version of the Lord's Prayer, read aloud, is ideal for public gatherings (schools, church, legislature, ceremonies, assemblies, organizations) and/or at home. It is also suitable for home school and on-line school (google meets, zoom). The listener can follow along and recite the Lord's Prayer along with the video (text is on screen).

Historically, the Lord's Prayer was (and in many cases, still is) commonly recited at school, in legislatures, services and at official gatherings in Canada, in addition to church and home. The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer the Lord Jesus taught His disciples in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4, as an example or model of prayer. Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray." (Matthew 6:9-13)
