Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

Isaiah 29:13 Therefore the Lord said: "These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me

Romans 1:28 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”

Romans 1:29-31
They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.

Roman 1:32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.
