Russia strikes military base on NATO’s doorstep

The war in Ukraine is now at NATO’s doorstep, after Russia launched airstrikes on a Ukrainian military base just a short drive from the border with Poland, a NATO-member state. At least 35 people were killed. Mike Armstrong has the latest details.

Bowing to pressure, the U.S. now says it will supply Ukrainian fighters with more weapons and security assistance. The U.S. has been called on to take more drastic measures, such as a no-fly-zone. But as Jennifer Johnson reports, the Biden administration says it doesn't want to risk direct conflict with Russia at this time.
