LEAD US NOT. . . BUT DELIVER US. . .

In the Latin, the phrases et ne no (inducas), joined with sed (libra) nos present just grammatically an interesting tension not quite apparent when reciting the Lord's Prayer from rote, saying lead us not, but deliver us. And, just as the Jews became divided, even before the coming of the Christian Messiah, the rise of the Roman Catholic Church became a house divided after persons like Martin Luther decided to leave a note on the door, which, for all practical purposes, was for religion, and internal security problem steeped in what we often describe secularly as politics.

And, in this Pirandello play within a play, when you introduce the overlay of princes and principalities in the realm of realpolitik, one would quite naturally expect the faith denomination with the most tenure and experience to have enjoyed those t min and t max aspects in the Bayesian formulation for abiogenesis and thereby, through natural selection, acquired those gains of function that would ensure better its survival. So, as the most organized of the religious denominations, even having an underlying organizational rule in the dedication of the sacraments, directed at self-preservation, the Roman Catholic Church would be necessarily the largest, not simply winging it with reliance on "wholly spirit" force to get by on dumb luck, and such was the case in sustaining losses in a global pandemic, intriguingly but not surprisingly finding the Black Protestant denominations seeking their salvation in a security agreement with the government, from a less advantaged bargaining position, which is never a "good deal", even if providing temporary security, but not much for the hereafter, despite utopian ideals of such naive actors that secure such "deals."

But most in religion, just as in realpolitik, are just as naive about both aspects of life in which there are no permanent enemies, no permanent friends, and only permanent interests, as is evident by the opiated masses, presently finding 81.5% of those over the age of five having received one dose of a COVID-19 countermeasure developed in the absence of any official knowledge of infectious dose, and correspondingly the associated correlates of protection, and therefore approved on the basis of merely a preprint of an efficacy test, not even the required effectiveness test under the controlling CFR. If you didn't vote for science electives in high school and college, you are at a distinct disadvantage in a public health crisis, and your desire to sound intelligent saying you voted for the science or were following the science, only bewayreth thee and thine empirically observable blindness, providing a modicum of amusement and delight to those who can see it.

And in the post pandemic paradigm the Roman Catholic Church, on a level beyond those who sit devotionally in pews, according to Pew Research Center, remain the most numerous actual faith denomination, with the advantage of tenure and organization, pitted between the various Protestant denominations, divided and disorganized, albeit larger together, in mass, on one side, the nones, an amalgamation of various individual thoughts about atheism, agnosticism and "none", a gaming position acquired by skillful maneuvers fully in open view to those who understand even the public relations aspects that had appeared in the press even before the public health crisis.

So, for the majority of Americans who cannot fathom why a nation that had covered the entirety of Eastern Europe might be willing to go to war to get its stuff back, it may not be surprising why they might not comprehend why "UFOs" present a national security issue, or why an alleged extra terrestial dispensing novel ideas might create a ruckus for the powers in his denominated faith, and for the ruling authorities, and why for over a year there has actually been a congressional inquiry committee over events that, in reality, are a grossly overexaggerated fraternity panty raid and treasure hunt.
