Harvard Address by Aleksander Solzhinetsyn - 'A World Split Apart' (English Reading)
On June 8 - 1978 Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn delivered this commencement address at Harvard University.
This is my reading of the transcription, for those of you who are interested in hearing it in English, without any other sounds;
The late Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn contributed greatly to our world, enduring great suffering for what he believed in. He was able to express his thoughts and ideas brilliantly, with his gift of communication and writing, among other talents.
I believe his speech has some strong resonance in today's western society;
Apologies for any mistakes; this is my first time reading something of such magnitude, so I do not quite do it justice, but I hope that this is interesting or useful.
