The history of the United States was what most would call a time of change. Change in attitude towards the Vietnam War, change in how Americans viewed their government, and change in how they viewed themselves. It is also a time that changed America’s future.
In the early 1900s, America was undergoing a huge transformation. With the invention of the automobile and advancements in industrial production, life in America was changing dramatically. The farming era was coming to an end and machines were taking over. As new immigrants were coming to America from all over the world, there were many different perspectives on how American society should be run.
There were many important events that took place in this year., but it is impossible to pick just one as the most significant event of 1973.
