Credit Instagram's @thekaylorbetts with this piece of advice on how not to self-destruct. The trick is to be conscious or awake to the stimulus-response pattern of behaviour. If you slow down and become aware of your options, you don't fall into the trap of stimulus-reaction. In the unconscious reaction lies the self-sabotage. In other words, keep calm and carry on.
