Charon Chai Comminity - Chinatown Bangkok

In this video I show you a historic house that is now an open museum to promote the Charon Chai Community in Bangkok’s Chinatown. The area dates back over 100 years and they are trying to take steps to prevent shops and homes being destroyed and the loss of the community. The residents of this area have lived and worked the same way for generations. They wish to promote awareness and attempt to prevent the area being destroyed and becoming just another condo or shopping mall. The open house is located on soi 16 Charon Krung near the MRT station Wat Mangkon. It’s a short video and I hope you enjoy!
