Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Elwell Family Food Center at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, Governor Kim Reynolds announced her plan to run for governor on November 8, 2022.

Kim highlighted her stance on law and order and referred to the time she stopped riots from destroying Iowan businesses in the way riots overtook Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, and New York.

Kim praises the fact that we got kids back to school and states "unlike Democrats we didn't wait for bad poll numbers to finally discover science." She then claims “We are protecting the unborn and standing up for our law enforcement. We are preserving girls sports for girls. We are protecting the integrity of our elections. We are promoting energy independence and our home grown bio-fuels, and unlike DC, we are not overspending, we are balancing our budget, and we are cutting taxes.” Kim continues to state “I signed the 3rd tax cut since taking office. Four years ago our top rate was almost 9%, now it is going to 3.9% flat and fair, and my dad is really really happy about this one. We are eliminating taxes on your retirement income.” She continues to state “Iowa is going to be a state that you can live your life freely.”
