Behind Disney Plus' Ad Pivot: A Drive For Streaming Profits (New Tech Exclusive)

On March 4, 2022, Disney announced a lower, ad supported tier would be coming to Disney Plus. They're more than likely doing this to bolster subscription numbers. However, Tubi and Pluto TV both offer their Ad Supported Streaming Services at no cost (other than the ad breaks). Is Disney making the right move charging for an Ad Supported Tier or should they go completely free?
