This video explores the special expedition train from Hua Lamphong station all the way to the end of the line at Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi station. The trains follows the infamous death railway line that was built by forced labor of civilians and POW’s by the Japanese military during world war 2. The train makes stops at the worlds largest Buddhist monument in the world, Nakhon Prathom Chedi, the River Kwai Bridge, the end of the line station at the Nam To Sai Yok Noi waterfall. On the return trip it stops at Kanchantaburi to see the railroad museum and cemetery of the POW’s that died while building the railroad. The conductor acts as a tour guide with explaining the history of the rail line. It’s a program to increase awareness areas of Thailand and increase tourism via rail. It’s interesting and inexpensive at a price of 120 baht per person round trip. If anyone wants a great day trip out of the city I would recommend taking this trip. Enjoy the video!
