Here we read the second Part of St. Bernard de Clairvoux's book on Humility and Pride. Containing the Third and Fourth chapters and addressing the process by which humility leads to Truth, the three degrees of Truth and the teaching of Christ about these. Also the discussion on the statement "He learned compassion through suffering"* and Finally further inspection on the first degree of Truth.

*St. Bernard bases on of his arguments on a misquotation of Mark 13:32 saying "'I do not know' but 'The Son of Man himself doth not know.' ". Unfortunately, St. Bernard discovered his mistake after his book was circulated.
