Quake: Scourge of Armagon - HIP1M1: The Pumping Station (Nightmare, 100% Secrets)

With the original Quake and Dimension of the Past finished, let's now begin our next Quake excursion with the first of the two mission packs released in March of 1997, Scourge of Armagon! This mission pack was made by Hipnotic Software and introduces a whole slew of new content including new enemies and weapons. It also has its own original in-house soundtrack not created by Nine Inch Nails, which means I don't have to worry about YouTube copyright claims this time!

Even though this game's levels are divided into three episodes, you must play them all in order because there is no episode selection room in the hub level, only a difficulty selection room. To access Nightmare mode in Scourge of Armagon, go down the Easy mode hallway, and instead of entering the room with "Easy" written above it, go down the hallway to the right of it, and you'll enter a storage room with a box maze. Navigate the box maze and you'll find an elevator that will take you to the Nightmare slipgate.

The first level of the game immediately introduces one of the brand-new enemies in this mission pack: the Centroid, a mechanical scorpion with a Nailgun on each of its pincers. You don't want to be in its sight too long, so try to take it out as quickly as possible.
