Tarik Cohen has been released as Bears GM Ryan Poles continues to make moves following the Khalil Mack trade. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears will likely cut Danny Trevathan. Is that the next move? Trevathan would need to be a post-June 1st cut designation as cutting him now actually creates more dead cap money, but the Bears could do that. Eddie Goldman is a prime salary cap cut candidate as well. Like it or not, Poles is leaving his mark heading into 2022 NFL Free Agency.

The Chicago Bears have released RB Tarik Cohen according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Schefter reports that Cohen can’t currently pass a physical following his torn ACL in 2020, therefore the Bears cut him as an injury designation. Chicago will clear $2.25 million in cap space by moving on from Cohen. Bears Now host Harrison Graham breaks down today’s Chicago Bears news.
