Why would you work for the basic rate that Amazon Flex UK is currently paying? Especially when fuel prices are so expensive at the moment.
I'm sure you will have noticed the sharp increase in fuel prices here in the UK and around the world.
This means the cost for self employed delivery drivers has gone up substantially over recent weeks, yet still, Amazon has not increased their rates because it seems to me that too many people are happy working for Amazon's slave wages.
£13 per hour from Amazon Flex UK is not really £13 per hour in your pocket. Not even close when you deduct your tax and national insurance contribution and mostly, your fuel and general wear and tear on your vehicle cost.
So the question remains why are so many people seemingly happy to work for this bare minimum of pay? The pay rate is terrible, so bad when you take work at the basic rate.
Jeff Bezos has more money than he knows what to do with but he simply won't offer fair pay for fair work.
