Saudi UAE leaders declined calls with Biden Modi urges Putin to hold direct talks with Zelenskyy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold direct talks with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for an end to the conflict.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its 12th day on Monday.

Modi also spoke with Zelenskyy and thanked him for assisting in the evacuation of Indian students from Ukraine, as per sources. The Ukrainian president briefed him about the conflict and negotiations with Russia.
