Raccoon Stows Away on Boat

Occurred on May 2, 2021 / Geist Reservoir, Indianapolis, Indiana

Info from Licensor: "We were out surfing on the lake on our boat and our dog would not stop scratching the boat seat, we thought we had left food in the boat and the dog wanted it, so we lifted up the seat to see teeth and big eyes growling at us. We instantly closed the seat and sat on it until we were able to get to shore and jumped out of the boat. We grabbed a pole to try to get it out of our boat and it would not budge, there was a huge audience watching and we think when it tried to get out the first time, the crowd and the dog scared it so we persisted to get him off the boat. Once he got off the boat, the rest is history. Moral of the story is to check your boat before you go out to the middle of the lake."
