Nostalgia (Be Free) is a companion piece to the track, which is was most successful to date Love and Tears originally sung by Steve Andrews aka The Bard of Ely. The updated version (of Love and Tears) can be found here on my Channel https://youtu.be/fN8WdhflpMo . In that track the protagonist found his soul mate but let her slip his grasp.

In Nostalgic (Be Free) we find the same protagonist nostalgic about his past relationship and realizes what a huge mistake was made. So this song is also about him writing about this realization and asking for forgiveness in order to win his love back.

Where as Love and Tears evoked 80s songs in style. I find that this song is more of a pop crooner song stylistically found in the late 50s to 70s.
