God is good all the time 459: What is Lent really About

Lent, the time the church sets aside for reflection and preparation for Easter. But what is Lent really about? Well there is nothing in the scriptures about this particular time, yet it coincides with the feast of the Passover. This is the time that sacrifices and gifts were given for the repentance of sin for the community. But it has become a tradition of many that during this time they give something up as a show that they can sacrifice something for this time. Join me as I take a look at this time and what it is and how it might be used better.
