Wendy Nelson Triples Down on Following Russell Nelson at California Devotional on February 27, 2022

Russell and Wendy Nelson’s talks at the California Devotional on February 27, 2022 were basically the same as what they gave in the Europe Area broadcast devotional a month ago. They just have pre-prepared messages they tweak for their audiences, and don't address real issues of what is actually going on in the world.

This talk by Wendy Nelson was completely unnecessary. Russell Nelson decided the topic of this devotional and approved the talks. He is the subject of the whole broadcast, which is dedicated to him and his calling. He is completely self centered and his narcissism has no bounds.

0:09 - We are watching Old Testament and Book of Mormon prophecies about the church's leaders misleading people play out in real-time. Wendy is trying to convince us Russell is a good person who we should trust, but since it's evident he is not, she should address why anyone distrusts him in the first place. Why don’t they talk about Jesus as someone we can trust?

0:28 - Wendy Nelson says "we need to be warned and forewarned". But in April, 2020, Russell Nelson told us: "Little did I know, when I promised you at the October 2019 general conference that this April conference would be memorable and unforgettable." Is he really God's prophet, seer and revelator?

1:39 - Next, Wendy tells us again to follow the prophets because they speak the truth and see things we cannot. But look at what Dieter Uchtdorf said in 2013: "And, to be perfectly frank, there have been times when members or leaders in the Church have simply made mistakes. There may have been things said or done that were not in harmony with our values, principles, or doctrine." And she never says what exactly is not true or what the truth is, only that she actually knows it.

3:16 - Now Wendy triples down from her recent Europe devotional talk, saying the exact same things about following the prophet. She says nothing new, but to just to put exclamation marks behind the prophet's statements and to try an experiment to only follow the prophet for 30 days.

4:32 - Lastly, Wendy Nelson says president Nelson is always looking to the future and that he looks ahead 50 to 100 years. However, a little later in this same devotional, Russell Nelson says, "One never knows what tommorow will bring"!
