Columns of Russian mechanized forces moving north of Kyiv. Russia intensifies operation. Russian forces encounter stiff resistance.

● Ceasefire was observed from 0700 GMT on 5 March to open human corridors in Mariupol and Volnovakha. According to Ukrainian officials, evacuation efforts had to be halted because Russians violated ceasefire by resuming shelling.

● Death toll at Chernihiv reaches 47.

● UN says confirmed civilian death toll in Ukraine is 351, while 707 are injured from 24 February till 4 March.

● Ukraine says there is no immediate threat to Odessa.

● Belarus President says Belarusian military is not part of operations in Ukraine.
