The NFL and Roger Goodell have suspended Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley for betting on NFL games that he did not play in. Calvin Ridley was away from the NFL at the time of making the bets, so he had no inside knowledge or effect on the outcome of the comes. The NFL punishment is shockingly harsh for a league that has so lightly approached criminal activity from its players.
