MercTech - ep 2 / MechWarrior 5

It's time. I think MercTech has reached a level of maturity and stability that allows for a reasonable attempt at a play-through. I've wanted to play the base campaign and into the Kestrel Lancers as one long series for a while now and I've been experimenting with various mod packs. I've settled on a reasonably "pure" run with MercTech. I've added 330's PIlot Overhaul for MT for the role playing aspect with our pilots; Prime 8's Botanical Splendor for a little more visual pop in the missions; Glitch Inspector's Camo Spec (YAML release) to add some fun in achieving the look we are want with our mechs; and finally I've added G3n.Zer0's Expanded Logos Seaphi pack for an appropriate unit logo. MercTech does require or suggest some support mods (MercTech Compatability Pack, Mech Bundle, MW5 Compatability Pack, and the Community Asset Bundle). All of these support mods are linked on the MercTech nexus page which can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/48

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a first or third person shooter/simulator set in the Battletech Universe in which you manage a mercenary company attempting to survive in the Inner Sphere. There are two campaigns in the game. The first of which comes with the base game and a second which was added in the Legend of the Kestrel Lancers DLC. As the commander of the company you will move your mercs through the systems of the Inner Sphere to take accept contracts for the various factions. You will need to balance the finances of the company while also running one of the giant robotic battlemechs in missions, hire new pilots, and acquire new mechs and equipment so that your company can grow and thrive amongst the war torn future.

I am playing, recording, and editing this series on a ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU, 16 GB of ram, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU.
