The only thing I have to go on are the pictures of the cat that my friend sent me,

I have no idea. which look like a cute little kitten. But maybe it isn't. Maybe they photoshopped those pictures, or maybe they found a stray cat and took pictures of it and then kicked it out again. To find out what's really going on, I had to call someone. I asked my friend who lives in a different country if he could get in touch with his friend and ask what was up with this cat.

I know! This sounds like a lot of work for a cat! But I'm an animal lover, so I don't want to see any animal suffer. And there's another reason why I can't just ignore this situation: My friend would be sad if he found out that his new cat was actually homeless and had been thrown out the door after these photos were taken. So I called to check up on it and make sure everything was okay with the cat.

In order to do that, though, first I had to get through a language barrier. My friend only knows basic English, so we couldn't really talk about anything important over Skype. Luckily, though, I have another friend who speaks both languages .
