You see
The problem we have today
Is that our children
Our teenagers
Our young people
Are over sexualised
By the media
Before they even
Know how to add up
Numbers properly
Or how to write
Or even speak
Or communicate properly
They’re flooded with images
It’s all in what they see
And hear
These articles of sex
These images of sex
Or sex related
Sex driven media
It’s on their televisions
At home
It’s in the movies they go to see
In the music they listen to
The magazines
They pick up and read
They get home
They jump onto the internet
And it is saturated with all of that too
Their friends
Are talking about sex
And with technology today
A child
Can carry all of this stuff
Around with them
In their pocket
Or their purse
Everywhere they go
Everyday
All you need
Is an iPhone
Or a Blackberry
And you have instant sex appeal
I’m telling you
People will know what I’m talking about
What I’m saying is
You have to expect
When you talk to a child
On the street today
About church
About god
About religion
About spirituality
About fornication
About the sanctity of marriage
Or anything
In the realms of righteousness
Or godliness
You have to take these things into account
Because guaranteed
The majority of young adults today
Will be either
On their way to
Or coming from
An activity
A meeting
A conversation or something
Centered around
Or stemming from
The subject of sex
Or sexual relationships.
