To Build Custom Shed Doors I first take the measurements of the rough opening. I Then cut 2x4's and a 2x6 for the inner frame. The 2x6 is for the knob and strike plate and the 2x4's are for the hinge side and the top and bottom of the door. I like to use pocket hole screws to hold the frame together. Once the frame is built I use either a chisel or router to get the hinges in place. Once the door is hung on the frame of the building I use OSB on the inner side of the door. The screws in the OSB is what holds the frame together. One the outside of this door I use Hardie Board siding. The next thing that I do is install a strike plate with knob so the doors can be locked. Lastly I install latches on the top and bottom of the door without the knob so that the door is locked tight.
