Russian tanks have ‘ground to a halt’ in Ukraine

The Australian Strategic Policy Institute’s Peter Jennings says he is “not so sure” the Russians will be able to take over Ukraine.
“The onslaught has been limited, Russian tanks seem to have ground to a halt in the north of the country,” Mr Jennings said.
“The Russians could be using more airstrikes, but they haven’t done yet, particularly around Kyiv.
“My sense is, we’re all beginning to think a little differently about this situation than we were ten days ago. Ten days ago, it was almost automatic that Russia would be able to crush the Ukrainian spirit and take over in Kyiv - now I’m not so sure.
“I’m a little more optimistic than I was a week ago.”
