Blake Martinez rumors have been picking up steam with NFL Free Agency just around the corner. According to the latest Giants rumors the Giants want to restructure Blake Martinez due to his salary for the 2022 NFL Season. Blake Martinez currently has a $14 MM cap hit which is a bit high for an aging linebacker coming off a torn ACL. The Giants would save $8.5 MM if they cut/trade Martinez, but it is clear they want him on the roster so some negotiations may take place between Martinez, his agent and Joe Schoen.

Logan Ryan rumors surrounding his future with the Giants heated up at the NFL combine this weekend. Ryan’s name was brought up at the combine as someone the NYG could move on from due to their salary cap situation. Ryan has a cap hit of $11.4 MM for the ‘22 season but a trade would save $9.25 MM this year and next year if it happened following June 1st. The Giants may have to include a draft pick in a Logan Ryan trade if they want to move on from the 31 year old safety.
