Chiefs News ALERT: Orlando Brown has been placed under the franchise tag and will make $16.5 million for the 2022 NFL Season. The Chiefs and Brown now have until July 15th to agree on a long-term contract extension which is expected to happen. But for now, Brown has been tagged by Kansas City. Chiefs Free Agency Rumors are buzzing with 2022 NFL Free Agency looming next week. According to reports, Tyrann Mathieu is expected to hit the open market which means he could sign with another team. Chiefs’ GM Brett Veach has consistently said that they are open to re-signing Mathieu, but it will likely depend on price. Mike Williams could be a Chiefs free agent target if he hits free agency, but there’s a good chance that the Chargers will franchise tag or re-sign Williams. The franchise tag deadline is tomorrow, Tuesday March 8th.
