Winter Garden Preparation in Permaculture Vegetable Garden

Hello and welcome to that British homestead. Today I am creating my very own permaculture orchard. This is my first steps into growing trees! I have grown soft fruit such as raspberries, tayberries, blackcurrant and even the humble strawberry, however I have never had the space to grow trees. With all this new found space I am going to grow a number of trees, pear, apple, fig, plum and cherry. These are only dwarf trees, due to the rules of my allotment only meriting dwarf varieties.

I am very very much looking forward to my own eating apples, plum jam, cherry pie, and dried figs! but i think it will be a long wait before these trees are productive.

This is only my first steps into permaculture and I have exciting plans to ensure this will be a product and rich place of growth.
