Horned Oryx cooling down in the sprinklers

Now that looks like a great way to keep cool!

As temperatures soared this week, our keepers made sure the animals at Monarto Safari Park beat the heat with plenty of cooling enrichment.

Keeper Riley shared this fun video of the Scimitar horned Oryx cooling down in the sprinklers during the
sweltering 41 degree heat yesterday. Just like the Oryx, native wildlife also need to be looked after in the hot weather and your backyard

sprinkler is a great way to help them keep cool.

You can also put water out in different sized containers, which makes sure native animals both big and small can stay hydrated.
