This towel holder is made from metal and it has an industrial styling that should work well with modern or minimalist bathrooms or indeed anywhere else.
In the box can be found the one-piece towel rail, two double sided mounting strips and a simple but well designed installation guide. Build quality seems first rate, the towel rail is heavy duty and robust and should be capable of holding anything within the limitations of the mounting strip.
The towel rail takes the form of a strip of 3.5 cm wide metal bent into a U shape with the shorter 24 cm strip mounted to the wall with the front-facing 37 cm strip forming the towel rail. There are two pegs between the strips to hang small items.
The towel rail uses a strip of ultra sticky viscose tape, like a sticky extra thick sellotape, rather than the less powerful 3M paper tape more commonly use. This is a little tricky to mount as the sticky tape is very stretchy and will easily bend out of shape when mounting it, so take care. Carefully remove the backing sheet from the sticky strip and stick it to the shorter side of the towel rail. After cleaning and drying the mounting surface carefully remove the backing sheet from the other side of the tape and carefully press the towel rail in place. Leave it for about a day to allow it to bond before using the rail. Remember to select a suitable surface to mount it to, avoiding rough surfaces, paper, or anything else that will prevent firm adhesion or clean removal.
Yes, the towel rail can be easily be removed by using a hairdryer to soften up the acrylic-based tape to allow it to be easily but carefully unpeeled from the wall.
That is really all there is to say. The towel rail looks good if you appreciate minimalist or industrial style design, works well, is easy to fit and to remove and at a shade under £18 will certainly not break the bank.
