Luke 8:40-56 "Push Through"

He had joy in his life for twelve years before tragedy struck.
This woman had nothing but pain and misery for the last twelve years.
She consulted all the physicians in the area, and none could help her.
Jairus although the account doesn’t say…I’m certain he consulted with the physicians also… to no avail.
This woman’s life must have been a tragedy…having a flow of blood for twelve years left her in a place of desperation.
According to the Law found in Leviticus 15:19-30…she was considered unclean, and everything she touched, sat on, or laid on was also unclean.
That condition separated her from family and friends…she wouldn’t be able to go to the temple or even the market.
Her condition would have left her alone, frustrated, depressed, and miserable.
Maybe some of you are experiencing some of these same feelings?
We don’t know how old this woman was, but we know she is an adult and like Jairus there must have been years filled with joy and laughter before this tragedy struck…
It is those times of joy and laughter that we can draw upon for strength to help us get through the tragedies of life.
