Kazakhstan's former Intelligence Chief arrested

Kazakhstan's ex-Intelligenc Chief Karim Massimov has been arrested on suspicion of treason amid crack down on a wave of unrest and protests.
Massimov was fired by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on 5 January.
Dozens of people have been killed including 18 security personnel, besides 748 injured during protests across Kazakhstan and 2298 persons have been detained. Meanwhile, 2500 Russian troops have been deployed to restore peace and order.
