You hear that
That's the sound of daylight creeping in
A new day is coming
A better day is on its way
Tomorrow is a better day
Believe that

I thought this day would never come
Thought we'd never see the sun
Thinking of all those wrongs turns I made
That turned out to be right turns
And I'm left turning it over inside my mind
It's just a familiar place I like to visit sometimes

Because it's crazy when you really think about it
I don't know what I would've done without it
The discipline to know the difference
The discernment
To have taken a different position
Seeing it for what it really is
And what it really isn't
Clear vision
Not blinded by your own insistence
And limited thinking
Resistance

All the obstacles you face
That are often put in place
To completely slow down your pace
When you're too busy
Speeding ahead
All systems go
Thinking it's a race
When often exactly what you need
Is to slow down
Stop and listen
In order to know exactly what to do
And where to go
And what to say
Abort mission
Go this way
Go that

But that was yesterday
Today
All I can say
Is only if we knew then
What we know now
If only today knew us
Like tomorrow knows us
Just one more day
Just one more day
I see a bright morning ahead
Yes
That's what I said
Clear skies all the way
Just one more day
Brighter days are on the way

I feel so good right now
So good
It's like an awesome awakening
My head realised
The rehearsal is the actual thing
And my heart just wants to sing
I feel like a part of everything
The start
The middle
And the ending
A morning chorus to the King
For all that tomorrow brings
